The Swim Team in Orlando

Senior Group

The Senior group is composed of swimmers ages 14 and up who are in high school, college or post-grad. Our Senior swimmers include elite level athletes qualifying for national or international competition, swimmers who are preparing to swim in college, swimmers who focus mainly on high school careers, and swimmers who are newer to swimming or who come to us from other sports. Each year high school swimmers join us following their high school seasons, and college swimmers join us for the summer. We work with those who are new to the sport to integrate them into this training group. We have developed swimmers who were near-beginners at this age into some of Florida’s fastest swimmers! Swim Orlando YMCA welcomes and encourages all levels of experience. The Senior groups all work out together; the requirements and types of training will vary within the group based on experience level.

Required equipment: goggles, cap, kickboard, fins, water bottle, athletic shoes for drylands, zoomers
