Jen Gavin named Orlando Sentinel “Female Scholar Athlete of the Year”!

We have a Big Announcement!!!!
 
Our very own Jen Gavin was awarded the
Orlando Sentinel Female Scholar Athlete of the Year Award!!!!
 
Jen has been with us from the inception of Swim Orlando 3 1/2 years ago and has kept improving every year.
 
Jen became a High School All American this year and did best times in every single one of her events.The way she swam at Regions, High School State and our Turkey Open was amazing. She dropped 3 and 4 seconds in her 200 Free and 200 Back. This is very rare for young women in their Senior Year in High School but Jen's work ethic and tenacity in races surprised many. Especially when her 5'2" frame would leave people much taller in her wake.
 
Some of Jen's accomplishments are:
 
National Merit Scholar
Team Captain
SOY Team Record Holder
Young Life Counselor
And on and on....... 
 
Jen is a wonderful example of how swimming and academics go hand in hand.
 
We Congratulate Jen on all her well deserved accolades.
